Lanarkshire Links brings people together who have a common interest in mental health. It aims to provide a supportive environment in which people can explore this interest, identify goals and seek possible solutions.
Experiences of this shared interest can be discussed openly and in a format that suits all. Normally this means bringing people together at our Members Meetings or Issues Groups and Carers Groups in the community.
The restrictions in place due to Covid 19 mean we can’t come together nevertheless we continue in our role to ensure people’s opinions on mental health and social care services are gathered and communicated to the partnership organisations.
People and their lived experience are at the heart of everything Lanarkshire Links does. Everyone has mental health. Anyone can have mental health problems but with the right support people can and do recover. Recovery means being able to live a good life, as defined by the person, with or without symptoms (Scottish Recovery Network). We believe that together we can make recovery real for everyone in every community. Lanarkshire Links brings people and organisations together to identify and prioritise what should happen to support mental health, wellbeing and recovery.
