Friends and Family

Family and friends can play a vital role in helping a loved one if they are struggling with their mental health or have a mental illness. People with mental health problems say that when family and friends offer a non-judgemental ear it helps them seek further help and therefore promotes recovery.

Understanding what someone is going through can be hard, but you don’t have to be a professional to help. Simply listening without judgement can mean the world to people.

The resources below have been co-created with our volunteers that have had lived experience.
