We are a group of ordinary people from all walks of life who are in some way affected by mental ill health.
We are experts by experience in living with mental health problems or caring for someone who lives with a mental health problem.
We support each other to address the many issues that affect our lives. We share many experiences, hopes and aspirations, and we are able to use this positively to work as an organisation.
We support you to have your opinions heard when decisions are being made around care provision.
Our members are at the heart of our work.
Become a member and you’ll join a growing group of people who play a part in everything we do – and who are determined to make sure that no-one faces a mental health problem alone.
The main focus of the organisation is to work to support the active involvement of people with the lived experience in the planning and delivery of mental health and social care services.
Peer support, recovery and tackling the stigma around mental health issues is at the heart of our work.
Mental Health Matters our FREE quarterly membership magazine is for and about members – it’s part of our job to help make sure that members’ are kept up to date with local services and that their voices are heard. We’d like to say thanks to all of the people who’ve generously shared their information, stories and experiences.
